ABOUT
Nori's entire sense of self revolves around two things: her name, and this sinking suspicion that she is a dirty, dirty blood pervert. This is a struggle she largely endures alone, as she quickly discovers that not only is she flush with homicidal talent, but she's slick as a river trout to boot. By the time Nori has to suck it up and admit that she has a serious problem, no one seems to be able to take her seriously — partly because she is also a beloved songstress and poet, a freshly-blossomed local superstar soaring like a meteor up the sword coast. A triple threat, literally and figuratively, Nori conducts her sordid operations in broad daylight, the crowds cheering her on as bodies pile up underfoot.

Appearance
5'9" . blue . strawberry blondOften mistaken for any other kind of elf, Nori does not represent her Drow ancestry very overtly. There are touches of it here and there: her skin is a deep purple in certain lights or after she's spent the correct amount of time in the sun. There is something too human about her large, pale blue eyes. She is tall and elegantly-structured, moving with the grace of a woman who has dedicated an entire life to song and dance.
Particular care is taken with her hair. It is almost rosegold at its roots, fading to a more Drow-like blond-white where it has grown lengthier. Nori keeps it long and spends hours maintaining it, for it is as thick as it is heavy, and often woven into metallic claspings that provide it with its impossible shape.
Nori prefers to wear fine things, with silk, damask, and rosegolds taking precedence. As a performer, she favors dramatic draperies and hemlines that billow as she moves. Because her wardrobe is so intrinsic to the cover she is provided by her appearance, she will go to great lengths to procure new pretties for herself. (And her party! Don't be surprised if she drops a bloodied doublet at the foot of your bed like a proud barn cat. Oh, now you want to ask questions? Should have done THAT when she was stumbling around camp professing herself to be a blood pervert.)

I'm not the biggest fan of playing Nori as THE Dark Urge. I am happy to play against the original or your interpretation of it! As a random Bhaalspawn, Nori exists almost exclusively to annoy Orin. Even her name is a reflection of this, intended to encroach upon any qualities that Orin might fancy as unique to herself. This fruitless competition between the two was beaten into her from a young age, but all that was ever meant to come of it was her eventual demise by Orin's hand. Orin, far cleverer than that, opts to poke holes in Nori's brain instead and unleash her right back upon the world that caused her so much suffering. Eventually, Orin, the Dark Urge, or any well-meaning adventuring party will take her out and no one deserves a more grisly end than this glitterbitch. With Dark Urge or Orin, she will be your typical murderable little sister who gets into EVERYTHING. Please feel no remorse if all you want to do is threaten to murder her.

Nori was created to be Bhaal's favorite princess, a blatant slap in the face after the betrayal of Orin and Helena by Sarevok Anchev. She's Orin in every way but better, a fact that was meant to drive bloodshed on either end of their sibling rivalry. Nori was raised properly by good stock outside of the Undercity and learned singing, dancing, performance arts, and etiquette in the company of her adoring, doting foster parents. They were rewarded for these efforts with the bloodiest deaths the city had ever witnessed. To this day, no justice has been served for the atrocities committed to them.
Eventually, Nori seized her destined spot as leader of the Cult of Bhaal, heralding the beginning of a new age of fear and bloodshed. Her one weakness, perhaps born of narcissism, was for her sister Orin, kept close by her side throughout her ascension. As the Cult gathered power and eventually enslaved an Elder Brain, Nori was blindsided by her sister's ambitions, her brain liquefied, her body surrendered to the mindflayers to serve as their thrall.
Now, all that Nori has is her name and her dark urges. And the ones that don't come as urges, but as visions that move her in the night, and slice with her hands, and bathe her in the fresh blood of her supposed allies.
But it's fine -- she gets away with it every time.

nori is a MURDERER. but if that's ok, have at! i ship anything with chemistry. her in-game romance was with minthara, who spent a lot of time trying to mercifully euthanize her, but i'm open to any castmates/cross-canon who are age-appropriate or older.
